The journey of the Tata Avinya started back in 2022, when Tata Motors surprised everyone at the Auto Expo 2022 with a futuristic electric concept. That first Avinya wasn’t just a concept but was more like a vision of what future Tata vehicle could look like. With its unique shape, minimal design, and focus on comfort and sustainability, it clearly showed that Tata was thinking future when it comes to electric vehicles.

Now, a few years later, that vision has taken a new step forward in the form of the Tata Avinya X. Revealed in 2025 , this new concept feels more real and closer to production, while still carrying that futuristic touch. The Avinya X is designed as a large coupe-style SUV, which means it sits higher like an SUV but has a sleek, sloping roof that gives it a sporty stance. It looks quite different from the earlier Avinya concept, which had a more crossover vehicle like design.
One of the first things you notice about the Avinya X is its bold and clean design. It has a wide stance, smooth body panels, and a very modern lighting setup very different from edgy styled cars. The signature T-shaped LED lights at the front and rear give it a strong identity, something that connects it to the original Avinya concept as well. The car also gets large wheels, a closed front grille since it is born EV, and sharp lines that make it look both premium and futuristic.

Inside, the Avinya X is all about comfort and a calm driving experience. Instead of filling the cabin with too many buttons and screens, Tata has kept things simple and clean. The interior feels more like a lounge, with soft materials, a spacious layout, and features designed for comfort during travel. Elements like hidden air vents, ambient lighting, and even aroma features are aimed at making the cabin feel relaxing.
Another important aspect of the Avinya X is its focus on sustainability. Being a pure electric vehicle, it is built on a dedicated EV platform and is expected to support advanced battery technology and fast charging also. Tata has also used eco-friendly materials inside the car, showing that performance and environmental responsibility can also co-exist.

While the Avinya X is still a concept, it gives a strong hint of what Tata’s future premium electric cars could look like. In fact, it is expected that models based on this idea could start arriving around 2026 and this makes the Avinya X not just a concept, but an important step in Tata’s long-term EV plans. Overall, the Tata Avinya X feels like an evolution of the idea that first began in 2022. From a bold concept shown at an auto expo to a more refined and practical design now. If Tata manages to bring this concept into production as it looks now, it could change the way people look at premium electric cars in India and also compete at global levels with EV brands like Tesla
