The 2026 Hyundai Creta Summer Edition has officially arrived in India and in this edition the brand has focused on what most buyers actually want—more features at a better price point and without changing the engine or design. Starting at ₹12.05 lakh (ex-showroom), this special edition is designed to make premium features available even in lower variants, giving more choices to the buyers in the mid-size SUV segment.

Let’s break it down in simple language so anyone can understand what’s new and whether this SUV is worth your money.

What is the Hyundai Creta Summer Edition?

The Summer Edition is basically a feature-loaded version of the regular Creta. It is available across multiple trims like EX, EX(O), S(O), S(O) Knight, SX, and SX Premium. The main aim here is give customers more technology, convenience, and safety without increasing the base price too much.

The price starts at ₹12.05 lakh and goes up to around ₹17.88 lakh depending on the variant and engine option.

What’s New in the Summer Edition?

At the base level, the EX variant now gets smart key and push-button start, which was earlier missing. Move to EX(O), and you get LED headlamps, DRLs, rear camera, and sunshade, making the car feel much more premium.

Higher variants like S(O) and S(O) Knight now come with a dashcam, which is becoming very important for safety and recording drives. The SX variant also gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, while the top SX Premium variant adds 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, and parking sensors.

In simple words, features that were earlier only available only in top variants are now be added to lower variants aswell.

Engine and Performance – No Changes

Mechanically, nothing has changed—and that’s actually a good thing.

The Creta Summer Edition continues with 1.5L petrol engine & 1.5L diesel engine  paired with Manual and automatic gearbox options.

Design – Same But Still Attractive

There are no major design outside changes in the Summer Edition. It still looks like the bold and modern Creta we already know. However, small touches like LED lighting and alloy wheels in lower variants make the SUV look more premium than before.

Competitors in the Segment

The Hyundai Creta continues to face tough competition in India. Some key rivals include:

  • Kia Seltos
  • Maruti Grand Vitara
  • Toyota Hyryder
  • Skoda Kushaq
  • Volkswagen Taigun

Among these, the Creta still stands strong because of its balanced package—design, comfort, features, and resale value.

The Summer Edition makes it even more competitive by offering more features without major price hikes.

Should You Buy the Creta Summer Edition?

If you are planning to buy a mid-size SUV in 2026, this version of the Creta makes a lot of sense.

.    You get more features for almost the same price
.   Lower variants now feel premium
 .   Proven engines and reliability
 .   Strong resale value

In simple terms, it’s like getting a higher variant feel without paying the full price. However, if you are looking for performance upgrades or a sporty drive, this update won’t change much for you.
